You can even load up your burger with some homemade chili, just get the napkins ready. Be sure to get Jack’s Famous Fries with their outstanding seasoning salt, which has a following all its own.
Rudy’s Chicken
This is THE place to go for fried chicken in South Dallas. They do it right: simple, fresh, and delicious. Rudy’s Chicken is classic fried chicken cooked to perfection, crispy and juicy. They also have a long list of classic southern sides, including green beans, red beans and rice, corn fritters, dirty rice, and more! Finish up your meal with a cup of banana pudding and you are in for a treat.
Gyros House
If you’re craving Mediterranean, Gyros House is the place to go. This Arlington classic has been around since 1991, serving some of the best Greek food this side of the Aegean! You’ll find classic gyros with beef and lamb, falafel, hommus, and much more. Their tabuli salad is particularly good. Be sure to grab some baklawa for dessert, made with either pistachio, pinenut, cashew, or walnut.
